Responsible Finance and ESG criteris

HAT concretely fulfil its ESG commitment through its investment policy as well as through a very disciplined day-to-day management of the evolving ESG principle within the Portfolio Companies

In the near future, in an economic context increasingly characterized by scarcity of natural resources, growing attention from people and an increasingly tight regulatory framework, companies that today carefully manage the risks and opportunities associated with ESG factors will be in a better position to seize greater challenges and opportunities.
In light of these considerations, HAT has established the Sustainability & ESG Strategy Function, which deals with the strategy and implementation of initiatives related to the environmental, social and governance (ESG) dimension of HAT.

We believe that properly managing the risks and opportunities of environmental, social and governance (ESG) characteristics throughout the investment cycle allows us to reduce business and financial risk and improve the financial results of our portfolio. We are firmly convinced that in order to create value for our stakeholders, it is essential to achieve financial objectives, guaranteeing maximum respect for the rights and dignity of people and the environment in which we live. Considering environmental, social and governance factors in investment choices allows you to acquire a forward-looking 360° view of the true value of the target companies and facilitates the development of a sustainable long-term strategy for the assets in the portfolio.
The Responsible Finance Policy constitutes HAT’s formal commitment to apply responsible finance principles to its business and describes the criteria followed to implement this commitment, with a view to increasing the long-term financial return.
