On March 19, 2024, twenty years after the passing of Claudio Dematté, a conference was held at the SDA Bocconi School of Management in his honor, titled “Uno sguardo rivolto al futuro”.
The event, organized in collaboration with AIFI, was an opportunity to present the book ““I campioni del private equity per le imprese di domani,” a tribute for the twentieth anniversary of the Private Equity of the Year award, now dedicated to him and born from one of his ideas.
In this volume, AIFI and EY sought to collect the success stories of private equity and venture capital through the voices of the protagonists. Over twenty years, the market has changed, as have the characteristics and sizes of the operators; what has not changed is the philosophy of the award, which holds significant meaning for the sector: it aims to emphasize how the financial world, represented by AIFI, serves as a catalyst for the country’s development by selecting, assisting, and enhancing managers and companies, with the ambition of creating the new champions of the Italian economy.
AIFI, together with the main partner Intesa Sanpaolo, supported by EY and with the participation of Corriere della Sera, Il Sole 24 Ore, SDA Bocconi, and Borsa Italiana, promotes the Claudio Dematté Private Equity of the Year Award.
